How much can you make from honeygain?
There is a few things to keep in mind, but let’s start with the basics.
Here is a rundown of how much data is worth on Honeygain:
1. For every 10 MB of traffic, you earn one credit.
2. One credit equals $0.01 USD.
3. You need 20,000 credits, or 200 GB of shared data to cash out.

So really, your earning potential depends on how many devices you have running and how much data they end up sharing.
Withdrawal Method
Here’s the really good part about it: you don’t have to do anything other than download it. It’s not like Pi or Bee where you have to check in every 24 hours; you just download it and forget it. During setup, you can set limits on the amount of data you share. If you have limited data-plans on your home internet or mobile this gives you greater control. You can also decide if you only want to run it when charging, but given my experience of power consumption, I would say there is no concern in having it running whether charging or not.
It is genuine passive income — not much, but income all the same. You are nevertheless, incentivised to check the app daily through a daily draw for free credits. So far I have won anything from 20 to 100 credits which are added to your account and count towards any payout you earn. So while you do not need to check it daily, for me doing so there has only been an upside.
Payout is only possible when you’ve earned a total of 20000 credits, equivalent to $20, so at the rates I’m going at, I should be cashing out 3 times a year. There’s no incentive to keep your money in the app, so withdraw as soon as it’s available.

Downloading Process
A key consideration for many will be that this app can only be downloaded directly from their site; there isn’t a link to it via Google Play. There are clearly things to be cautious about with Honeygain. It’s a definite break from the norm as far as these things go, so as with Bee and Pi, do your homework and decide for yourself if it’s for you. My experience has been positive so far in that it hasn’t cost me anything and my phone is earning me money 24/7 right now — not much, but enough to buy a Christmas present for someone at the end of the year.
